The Main Street McDonough Program held a Facade Grant Presentation on Tuesday, August 17, for Bijou Antiques & Gifts located on the McDonough Square at 19 Griffith Street. Those gathered for the presentation include: (L-R) Main Street Director Linda Schenk; Mayor Billy Copeland; and Bijou owner Bijan.
The Façade Grant Improvement Program is a reimbursement grant offered to businesses and commercial property owners located within the Main Street District. Through this program, applicants may be reimbursed up to 50% of the cost of improved renovations not to exceed a maximum amount of $1000 for an exterior front and $500 for an exterior rear renovation per applicant. Funds are provided by the Main Street McDonough Program, and reimbursements are based on availability of funds.
