The Main Street McDonough Program held a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 17 to officially mark the opening of McDonough’s newest restaurant, The Lunchbox, located at 13 Hampton Street, is just a half block off the Square.

The Lunchbox is open Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 10:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Owners Harvey and Diane Harris and Jerry and Dot Tucker invite friends old and new to stop by for BBQ, ribs or a sandwich sure to satisfy that lunchtime hunger.

Mayor Billy Copeland expressed how happy he is to have another new business open in McDonough. He also provided some history on the building in which they are located and wished them much success in this new venture. Harvey Harris and Jerry Tucker also own the business next to The Lunchbox, Harris &Tucker Jewelers, at 15 Hampton Street.

“We love to have this new restaurant open in McDonough,” stated Main Street Director Linda Schenk. “The Main Street Program encourages area citizens to frequent this as well as the other great restaurants and shops located in downtown McDonough.”
